I am about to go on a long trip and need to change my transmission fluid. I also would like to change my rear and front differential fluid. Does anyone know the capacities for this. Also, what would be the best fluid or oil to use for these. I would appreciate anything you guys know.

I have a 5 speed allison and it was 10 quarts to replace the fluid that I drained then replaced the spin on. The rear diff takes about 3.5 quarts and I havent done the front yet but I believe it takes about 2 quarts.
Cant go wrong with the Amsoil

Please only run synthetic in your allisions. gm did a dyno test loading duramaxes and allisions to see why the fluid turns so dark so quickly. Its normal for a duramax to change the tranny fluid color from bright red to a dark red or even black. Its NOT actually burning up the tranny fluid its just using the hell out of it. They did dyno testing and they found their new synthetic dexron 6 is far supperior to their dexron 3. I know that swithing to synthetic fluid will normally do that. We have alot of our fleet customers that have the 07 duramaxs and the fluid wears way better.
