I have a 2023 GMC 1500 with the elevation package. It has 44,000 miles on it. It has a brand new transmission and now a new turbo but it’s back in the shop for emission system failure. Does anyone have any thoughts on the newer models?

Can’t comment on newer but I have a 2021 and hasn’t had any catastrophic issues like that. Sounds like you got a bad one.

Um, lemon law? Maybe for that process you have to have 3 failures on the same issue?
Dealer has to have it for warranty repairs >20 days but in the first 24,000 miles. All of my issues started at around 35,000

In my extensive experience of a single contact with Customer Support the process seems to be responsive to complaints. The invocation of "lemon" seems to get escalated attention if you document repairs, AND the level of inconvenience or readjustment to your lifestyle. Being firm and polite in your request goes a long way.

My assigned agent will update regularly. Case still open on a truck rental reimbursement over the loaner that was incapable of towing our trailer while on the road.

Why is it so f*ing hard for manufacturers to make solid reliable vehicles today??? Even Toyota has gone to the crapper with the Tundra. It's 2025 and this shouldn't be that hard!
