Hadn't seen more than a few post on PCV reroute for the L5P so I thought I'd share mine. Earlier gen hose required 5/8" hose it seems while the L5P uses 7/8" id.
I chose not to use the stock short section as the hose I used is very good quality and retains its form.

I have a breather filter to go on the end coming shortly to keep bugs out as well.
This is the hose I used.
Vibrant Performance Braided Flexible Race Hoses 11973

Cap on the intake is also 7/8" and HSP makes a high quality one that is on order so currently just using the standard Dorman until that comes in.

Looks a lot nicer than the ghetto fuel hose I used on my LML 😊. At least the connection on the L5P engine points straight up, instead of being angled toward the front like LMLs are. I ended up hacking up the stock hose just to get a formed 90 degree bend, then brass 90, then back. I used a 3/4” tubing bug screen accessory at the other end.

There is a steady flow of air coming out of the hose vented to atmosphere at all times. The engine already has a stock oil separator in the pcv system. Whatever oil it catches is fine but adding a catch can would add restriction over the setup as it is now or stock. Not having the oil buildup in the turbo and intercooler pipes is the primary objective.

Going to give this thread a bump to help support the positive impact. Took these pics when i removed the stock system to put my Banks intake on. This is a 2018 with 19,592 miles on it at the time, on June 27 of 21. As you can see, i used my finger to rub and confirmed, that it is an oily substance

looks great! Where did you find the HSP cap for the intake horn? I have the WC fab inlet horn and I should have bought the one without the pcv but I didn’t know at the time I can’t seem to find a decent cap if you wouldn’t mind shooting me a link I’d really appreciate it (found the link in the post I had found that one but I thought you had found an HSP one HPS close enough lol)

Freedom, hows the bottom of your truck around your filter look from the vapors escaping? Any smell from the vapors?

I'm thinking about welding a nipple onto my exhaust after the DPF and sensors to help evacuate the system and send the vapors out of the exhaust to keep the smell down. It would be a decently long nipple due to the heat from a regen so it wont melt the hose.

I ended up taking the filter off just because I didn't like not being able to see how the hose was venting. I got some screen zip tied on the end to keep bugs from getting in there. No build up though you can always smell the vapor when around the truck running.
