LMM rebuild questions

I bought a 07.5 cab & chassis with 150K miles that has a cracked piston & the guy had the left head off so I bought a partial basket case. It had a Maxx tuner, bigger exhaust and DPF delete kit on it. I'm going to rebuild it and wondered what upgrades I should do. I'm about 60 & farm and just want the occasional power when passing or extra power when pulling a trailer up a hill. I talked to a friend that works in the shop at our local Chevy dealer and is in truck pulling and he suggested ARP head studs but didn't think anything else was really needed in my case. I have read about a number of cracked pistons on the LMM engines and thought about upgrading them while I had it apart.
Thoughts/suggestions?

I'd also stick a stock piston in it and be in your way. Maybe do studs just to feel more confident about the heads (which btw LMM's are fairly good about head gasket failure). Your transmission will take a shit before the engine with good tuning. You'll only be able to push 500hp MAX on a stock allison and even that is going to kill it in short time. WHen you tow do not use 6th gear, just put in in manual mode and select 5.
