Lose of "satellite signal message" for SirusXM

I recently bought a 2020 Silverado 3500 LTZ and I have been receiving the “satellite signal lost” message numerous times on the Infotainment center. Its only SiriusXM, the AM/FM/HD radio still works. Sometimes it's only for a few minutes other times it lasts for several hours. I have always been driving and in non-obstructed areas. On one occasion I drove straight to the service department and showed them the issue while the truck was still running. They scratched their heads and made a note and scheduled an appointment. As soon as I drove off the signal came back so I canceled the appointment. I figure unless the signal is lost while they check it out it won't do much good. I really don't want them taking everything apart in a hunt a seek.

SO, my question is, has anyone had similar issues with the XM satellite signal?

Is a known issue that Sirus is working on. I have spent a lot of time on hold as this has happened 10 times at least. Last week had someone with Tech Service call me back and sent me a link so when it happens a refresh signal will be sent to my radio. A refresh always corrects it for awhile. Have not had to use the link yet because it has not done it again.

You can refresh the radio through the XM website via your account. Just enter the S/N for your radio and hit send/refresh.

OK, Thanks to everyone for your input, I have the XM link on my phone so I can try a refresh. This is an issue that I have never had with any of my other GM vehicles, trucks, and cars. I'm glad I didn't let the dealer service department tear apart my truck looking for a loose connection.

I must be lucky, I have had XM in my cars since 2007 and never had this issue. It doesn't just drop the signal for a minute or two, often it lasts for hours.

This not a losing contact with the Satellite briefly issue. It is equipment related to the 2020 from what the tech advisor told me when she called me . On mine sometimes it is All of the channels other times only the higher ones that require internet to listen to. Sometimes the channel and the song title will even show but no sound other times sound but message channel not available but it is working. SMH....

That about covers the detail on mine.

I have a 2014 and experience the same issue, look for cell towers in the area when this happens.
I had several spots along the freeway where this happens, AT&T was the culprit
I kept taking it to the shop, they would scratch their heads because it would never do it for them of course.
Now that I read this I need to pay attention, have I gotten so used to it I don't notice it anymore?

You can close the Sirius XM app on your truck and usually resolves itself. I find it happens more when your signal is blocked when you start the truck. I believe it's settings and then scroll to bottom and select running apps, tell it to stop XM/audio and itll basically reset.

I haven't had the issue for a few weeks but I will keep this in mind, thanks.

My 2020 is almost 1 year old and I've had this "Satellite Signal Lost" at least 50 times. Get to my destination and the next time I get in it works. I have also on a few occasions, had a friend traveling right behind me in a 2015 and his Sat was working fine. This has to be a GM issue and one that my dealer doesn't know how to fix.
