Loud whine/hum at high RPM?

Hey all,
So when downshifting on a steep hill usually towing the tow/haul feature shifts down, and RPM's jump up I hear a loud whining noise, until the RPM's lower. Sounds to me like the fan clutch, or bearing? Any ideas or experience with this? Thanks!

What do your fluid levels look like? Trans, TCase, diff... That would be where I'd start but its hard to diagnose things without more info or hearing it in person.

Is the truck up to normal temp? My 06 lbz whines like a baby when it's cold. I hate it. I've gone over everything and I think it's one of my idler pulleys.

Mine did as well when it would drop below freezing. It quited down significantly after I flushed 5 quarts of new fluid through the hydro-boost.

Fluids are all good. It's always around operating temperature when it happens. 90% of the time, starting, warm up and day to day driving it sounds great. It's just when down shifting and getting the RPM's approx. over 3K. My best guess is the fan clutch or bearing? Just thought I'd see if anyone has had the same issue... Thanks
