No boost...

Yesterday I started up a hill and usually I give a little extra throttle to make it up this hill but my truck kept down shifting and it was struggling to hold its speed. I crest the top of the hill and I don't here turbo whistle and my boost says 0psi at 65mph. Then the check engine light comes on and I get PCM codes P0046(T/S charger boost control solenoid cic range/perf) and P2565(Turbo boost control position sensor circ high) I just got done looking under the hood and I can not see anything broken, cracked, un hooked, nothing... all looks normal. From what I have heard when a turbo goes it pours black smoke...my truck did not do this so is there still a chance the turbo went? Also currently I have my efi tune without rumble idle so you normally can hear a hiss through the exhaust, now you cant here the hiss and when you give it throttle it really lugs without smoke and exhaust sound drones real bad, if im in the throttle hard it will build up to 6psi of boost but wont hold boost. I am clueless now what to do so any input or suggestions would be much appreciated!!

How old is the fuel filter--??

I change it every other oil change. I was gonna change it today when I did my oil. Id say it has between 7500 and 9000 miles. How would that effect boost? I also have a pre filter before my lift pump. Does that need to be changed?

I did some more research and the P2565 code states:
Possible causes-
-Turbo boost control position sensor harness is open or shorted
-Turbo boost control position sensor circuit poor electrical connection
-Faulty Turbo boost control position senor

I also watched a video of an 05 LLY with a faulty vane position sensor and the turbo still spools but you can here the vanes change position abnormally so wouldn't my problem be In the Turbo boost control position sensor? Or is the vane position sensor the same as the turbo boost control sensor?

Actually a lot of times you dont have to reprogram if you install the new sensor with the battery unhooked. Any tech, otc pegisys and some other snap on tools can reprogram if it wouldnt relearn after install.

Ok thanks, so your saying I get the new sensor and replace it with the battery unhooked that it could learn on its own or I will have to have it reprogramed? And have you seen this happen before?

Perry much every time I have run into those codes on an LLY is ended up being the vane sensor however there is a chance that it is the vane actuator going bad, very seldom but possible.

Double checked some things and made a few calls and you are right. I got one on order and it should be here tomorrow or Wednesday so ill update the thread once I get her installed. My last question is if it does not re learn on its own will it still have the code and same issues? or will it somewhat work? Thanks again for the help I appreciate it very much!! :drink

Truck is fixed!!! Thanks for the help!!!!:drink

EDIT- Got the vane position sensor, for those who don't know its the sensor with a white wire on top of the turbo, its kind hard to get a wrench on but very easy to R&R. I unhooked the batteries before removal and started the truck after installation, truck was back to normal.
