SO here it goes.... I drive my truck all over and it never gets above 195. as soon as I put something behind it (dump trailer, skid steer trailer or the 28' enclosed all empty or full) and i get hot. I watch the temp on the bullydog and as soon as it hits 210 it turns off the tune. I have had it up to 220 and the whole time it goes up I never hear the fan kick on. even when hot and starting from a stop 0-60 the whole time it never kicks on. Sometimes it will come on and cool it down but not very often.

Will this most likely be a bad fan?

digging this back up.... I did my water pump two weeks ago since it had the awesome drip!!! did a complete flush and checked everything over. clutch is good. Now I didnt say it before but since last year in the winter with my plow on it will get hot also (at the same time i loose heat). the only thing i did not replace was the thermostats I am pointing that those are my problem....... anyone else think that same????

I was just talking to a mechanic about this the other day. I believe the
T-Stats are your problem. Since these trucks have 2 of them, one of them gets stuck and doesnt function properly. So under normal driving the working one lest enough coolant through so everything is fine, but once you put a load on it, there isnt enough cooling capacity with have one stuck and the truck starts to overheat.
When you change them, let us know if that cures your problem.
