Towing today... have selected “off on trailer connect”.. it randomly says “blocked”... or “off” on the DIC. I don’t remember exact words as I don’t take my eyes off the road that long...

Wish I knew... it is buried in “the matrix” somewhere

If you don't like/want park assist it can be shut off by either of the methods available.

ok, I like the feature. Sometimes We have young critters around calling us Nana and PopPop who are short. The feature assists in targeting..(Gee, can’t a guy around anyone.. geez)..

On our 2017 it cannot decide if it will STAY off on or blinks-blinky

if I turn off by button it will intermittently show warnings when the only obstruction is my trailer or purple unicorns ...

The important thing with “safety features” like body shredding exploding steering wheel air-bag this is yet another special feature we are blessed to endure.. And “trust”...

Mmm. No. It specifies in the book basically it might work as designed....

This problem just cropped up on my truck...
about 7 restarts after dealer update of the GPCM and maybe others.

While it was very intermittent that it would say 'blocked', now it happens at every restart... it says 'PA blocked' then shuts down the PA button, light and function.

Dealer just shrugs.. the guy who called and explained to me, did not talk to me when I showed up to pick up the truck... I was told "maybe it's the aftermarket metal grille you installed".. I explained the problem apperared occassionaly before the grille was installed..

Crickets...
