Replacing the Glow Plug Control Module on LML

If I replaced the Glow Plug Control Module on my 2011 LML would I have take it to the dealer and get it programmed?

Remember that in addition to the new/used car dealers, many garages can do the programming at a lower price. Call around and see if you can locate a garage to do the programming.


Glow Plug Control Module Programming and Setup

The following service procedures require either a programming or a setup event performed for a complete repair.

GPCM Replacement

If the glow plug controller (GPCM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed.

Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming for fuel injector flow rate programming

Setup for Component Replacement

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

If any of the following components are replaced, the Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming must be performed. Refer to Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming.


  • Fuel injector
  • Engine control module (ECM)
  • GPCM

This forum is for Chevy diesel pickups, not your car. Best to look for a Chevy Cruze forum and gain some knowledge there. Start by getting your car scanned for codes, DTCs as they are referred to. That will likely get you pointed in the right direction.
