The tube runs into your intake manifold from your intercooler is what the blue pipe replaces. I dont know the exact name of what it replaces but its what the EGR valve connects to. when you do an EGR delete you delete the cooler, the valve and that pipe. With your kit the riser covers where the exhaust ran into the cooler. in the past guys have had issues with that up pipe cracking at the baffles because of vibration. If that riser cap has a way of being mounted which i think it does now then you dont have to worry about it too much

This is the kit I ordered...

Not sure where you are talking about. Do you mean the turbo down pipe or the boost tube that hooks to the delete tube, or the egr valve?

Oh, now I'm following! Well if I have trouble there, I will just do a down pipe and be done with it.:thumb Thanks for setting me straight!:drink

Or cut it off and weld it shut....whatever works.

Anytime! ive done alot of research on this topic for myself and im workin on doin a whole write up that would answer everyones questions when it come to EGRs. Doin a downpipe would fix your issue either thats a different part

Yeah after a second look I figured that out...haha. Nothing a welder and some time can't fix though right??

haha yeah, when i do mine i will be taking to Screaming Diesel Perfomance and have them weld my up-pipe

I hear ya. I work on mine at a little shop called Twerps Diesel Performance. He's a friend of mine, and I've learned A LOT about diesels from him. He lets me use his shop and helps me on my truck and in return I help him out whenever he needs a helping hand. Works out good!

Hell yeah that sounds like a good set up. i use the Auto Skills Center on post to all my work except welding and stuff like that. Ill leave that to the guys that no shit know what they are doing. Let me know how the Install goes with your kit and take pictures! you could even do a write up on it. I know it would be valuable to alot of guys askin the same thing

For sure! I'll be sure to do that being I haven't see one done yet.

I think it was $350 iirc.

I didn't read through all of these but I did mine on my LBZ and I love it!!! It mounts up pretty good but it takes a Lil messing around to get everything to sit right.... Sounds better also!!

Any opinions on pro fab's delete kit? I've read some threads on egr deletes but I am still slightly lost. Pro fab sells 2 different delete tubes, one witch requires changing to there shorty high flow y bridge.

One is a delete Kit and the other is just a upgraded boost tube that you would really only benefit from if your running a bigger turbo. I dont have an opinion on the delete kit other then from what i have read here and its got nothing but good reviews. what are you lost on in so far as EGR Deletes?

Well I Was Just Wondering About The Pro Fab Kit Mostly. But Im Still Kind Of Lost, All I Need To Completely Remove My Egr System Is A DeleteTube, A Pcv Reroute, And A Passenger Side Lb7 Up Pipe Correct? Then I Can RemoveThe Egr Valve, The Up Pipe With The Egr Riser And The Egr Cooler. Or Am I Still Missing Something. I Want EverythingThat Is Involved With The Factory Egr System Mia...
