Motor Ops or Alligator.... I received my AutoCal today and had plans to do my exhaust tonight but rain and work is going to keep me from installing this stuff in my truck for about 2-4 weeks.... Is there any way I could get the non-delete tunes for my programmer and then once removed exhaust I can switch back?

I'm confused..... your sig says EGR delete & DEF tank removed.

 

Ive removed the big black urea tank under my truck. I'm referring to the resivour under the hood. My mistake.

 

Funny apparently this motor ops place is only an hour away from me...... Never have heard of them. It's good to here of a Canadian tuner! I had robs tunes on my lly but maybe that will change haha

 

There is no urea reservoir under the hood.

 

Here's a quick question. I've got everything i need to delete this weekend. Should i flash before or after i delete everything? I plan on removing the dpf/def per the h+s instructions but i will flash with the motorops tuner.

 

I flashed after. Like that guy said I just followed the motor ops instructions. If you run into any problems just call Steve today and makes sure. He is great with customer service and will bend over backwards for you. But, some people prefer flashing before hand to make sure it's really deleted. Eather way, it's personal preference.

Delete is done and running on sport/econ tune. Holy s**t. What a difference. Awesome

 

Has anyone experienced problems with their remote start after tuning? Mine still works but the truck no longer pauses like it used to. The starter cranks almost instantly after hitting the button. And now when i use the heavy tow tune i have no power whatsoever in 4 lo. Almost like when i put it in 4lo it goes into limp mode with a dead pedal.

 

AP8 is sometimes affected by tuning. H&S tunes overwrite it. It does need to be calibrated, otherwise the GPs won't have time to do their job.

Well the other night my buddy and I installed a 4" turbo back flo-pro exhaust (which took 2.5 hrs :-/) and hooked up the auto cal, this truck is SOOO amazing to drive and were both very impressed!!! The only bad thing is he told me he was running 35's and hes actually running 33's so his speedo calibration I'm sure is off even more than factory.... I wonder if Motor Ops would charge the $125-$150 to correct this?

its a simple fix i would imagine... just email the tuner the issue (when you pay, you pay for customer service)

 

I spoke with them this morning. They said my problems should be an easy fix and are gonna email me the new tunes. They were very easy to deal with.

On another note. How clean has everyones tunes been?

 

We have only ran the sport/economy tune and its great, very smooth power and lots of it! IT smokes the tires up until about 40-50mph in 2wd!

Does not smoke like how a hot chip on a 7.3 which is nice that its not obnoxious.

One thing I did notice is that when you punch it off the line it takes just a little to get the turbo going and rev's up... I take it thats normal?

 

By the way.... do you have to unplug the EGR stuff under the hood?

Look at this. Another MotorOps success story! Just as I thought, MotorOps saves the day, yet again.

 

Im curious though why limit 4 lo. Im happy they are gonna fix it and send me new tunes but why do that to a 4wd truck???

 

Going to the dyno tonight to try out the tunes! Will post results later.

P.S. Motor Ops still no 33" tunes :-(
