Upgraded to the Titan fuel tank this week. The tank went on sale this black Friday for $1,069 USD so I jumped on the opportunity. I upgraded to increase my range while towing. There's a post on this forum for the S&B tank so I wanted to post this if anyone is considering the Titan tank. From what I can see the Titan tank is only 2" below the stock tank. Where the S&B tank is 3.5". Also the Titan tank is custom molded for the 2020-2022 year. The S&B tank works for 2011-2021. Biggest draw back to the Titan tank is the capacity compared to the S&B. Both seem like great options.

Curious too how your re learn will go. I think Titan says 4 or 5 tanks full to empty (more on the higher trims?).

Bigger tank is on my list as a must have when mine shows up. Long bed so the Titan is 60 gals I think for me.

One of the elements that made me select the S&B tank over Titan's was for my '07, the Titan tank stops air from flowing through the fuel-return cooler. The S&B tank has a NACA duct formed into the bottom of the forward tank to help direct air passing under the truck, through the return cooler...

tyoer, I'm looking for an update on your Titan experience. I have a '22AT4, 1ton, SRW.

1. After 7 refills I'm still getting fuel guage errors. My experience is that after approx 8gal burn the fuel guage blanks. Then around the 20gal mark the fuel guage normally returns. Titan reps have expressed that this anomally should fix itself, but takes longer with the "digital" displays (i.e. Denali, AT4); maybe 10 refills. Did you end up having this issue? Has it resolved?

2. I have had a lot of splashback, even if trying to hear the burble of fuel approaching. I finally got a response from them regarding this and they said they've "just" become aware of this issue and they are sending some sort of Venting Kit to address it. Any experience with this on your AT4?
Thanks.

The Titan tank requires reprogramming the ECM, most were done with EFILive. That's why I bought the S&B 62 gallon tank. My factory fuel gauge is dead-on correct including the low fuel light but... the DIC Miles to Empty isn't functioning properly.

I would call Titan again and see if they have a work-around since after 10+ fillups has not "fixed" the issue.....

On the 2020 and up the gauge will learn, Titan sends an info page with the tank explaining it. Mine took a few tanks (Titan said up to 5) and the fancy dash units can take up to 10. No reprogramming that works on the new models that I know of since it will self learn anyways.

As far as the splash back goes, was the included flap valve installed in the fill hose? This solves 99% of it. When I installed mine I forgot to put it in, it splashed back, I installed it and it went away. You cant fill on full blast with a truck stop pump, but the stock tank wouldn't do that either without burping up fuel.

If they are sending you a vent kit it will likely have another flap valve included.
