Thinking of putting a Water/Meth kit on my truck. Not running big power, but looking to get my truck running as COOL as possible, possibly a Spearco Intercooler later on.

I was wondering of any potential hazards of doing this, and a good/inexpensive kit, nothing high $$.Not junk, just safe.

Do I NEED EFI Live to run the water/meth?

What kind of EGT drop will (should) I see? Thanks.

IMO i wuld do the CNG because propane is more deadly. but i guess if u are not using it for performance then u should be ok. I like water/meth better but thats myopinion.

Im not really doing it for the power, running "Juice" ie propagne, CNG, nitrous makes me nervous. Just looking for something SAFE to keep the motor cool. Thought Water/Meth was the answer. What do you guys think??

IMO and experience I would go spend the same amount of money on EFI Live and have Rob tune it. Quadzilla seems to make really hot tunes. I was in the same boat as you are a while ago cause my EGT's were crazy high. I went with EFI from Rob and I am literally shocked how cool my truck is running, really hard to believe. It's a lot safer and easier then water meth.

i run Water/Meth and i can tell you this i would do it again..it is well worth the money, cant say i increased more then a mile per gallon but my egts dropped by 200-300*'s on the top end..

Now Im not looking for power more power, so if I have this right, the more % of water i use in the mix, the cooler I will run? Should I go 100% water? And do I need EFI Live to do it? How does it work, and where does the water inject? Is there any bad effects, ie HIGH RISK in doing this MOD?Thanks bud!!:drink

I was looking at the Stage 2 kit, because of the hp/boost #'s it was coinciding with 350hp+/25 psi+. What size tank does it come with and how long does that tank of water last?

Is there a certain brand of water/meth you guys would perfer of another one? Because I am looking to do the same thing. Any ideas would great before I go buy one. I have been looking at the coolingmist one and the snow performance. Are there any more out there besides those. Not looking to spend alot $$$, but something that is worth the $$. thanks

+2 on that question. Thanks.

i run the Stage 3 Snow Performance kit and from research they are the best.
a 5 gallon tank last me roughly 300-400miles when towing but normal driving i get roughly 500miles..

Well...I'm a firm believer in the aftermarket intercooler....it dropped my EGT's quite a bit when I'm towing near max and just cruising around. I've seen the spearco intercooler....do yourself a favor and buy the Banks technicooler....much better piece if you ask me.

I understand the Snow Performance is the one to get, but does anyone know bout the AEM brand? How is it? Its quite a bit cheaper but not looking to buy junk. Thanks

I have a AIS (alcohol injection systems) meth/water kit. It works awesome and keeps the EGTs down while adding some power, it also adds boost because I ordered another injector and spray before the turbo. I think it gave me like 3 psi more or so and my guess is 30-40hp with like 200 degrees lower EGTs.

You dont need to use efi live or a programmer to use it but why not make it more efficient? You can add timing to get the full potential out of it.

If I were to do it over again I'd buy the same exact kit. It has a 1.5 gallon tank which has the pump already mounted to it and I just threw it under my rear seat and hooked the lines up. I love the larger tank especially with the extra injector that I'm using because it lasts much longer before I would have to fill it back up. The pump is also adjustable to come on between 10-25 pounds of boost and pressure that the pump puts out is also adjustable.
