I have a 2022 3500 dually Duramax now and haven't had any problems so far and was wondering if there is any advantage to buying a new truck?
Thanks in advance for any pointers!

I went from a ‘22 to a ‘24, which is mostly identical to a 2025. High Country to High Country. I only did so because I needed an extra set of tires behind me(DRW). I noticed the power increase right out of the gate. I didn’t know there’d been an increase so it wasn’t psychosomatic. The power thing is cool, but the previous model had more than enough already. The interior I like better aside from the wireless charging. That worked much better on the ‘22.

All that being said unless your ‘22 is rung out or you have money you need to burn, I’d stick with what you’ve got. The ‘22 is still a new model in my book and a great truck. On the non practical side, If you just like new stuff, I don’t think you’d be disappointed.

GM is getting hungry and has some pretty good interest rates on new along with dealers offering big discounts. Makes for a buyers market.

Thanks for the input. I don't have many miles at all on mine! The dealership just offered me an unsolicited trade and it seemed reasonable. I just didn't want to go to a truck that may have problems inherent to the model year.
I am guessing there are trucks not selling as well at the moment?

Most folks aren't in the market to buy a $70-$100K truck and manufacturers want and need to sell trucks. More deals and better deals are coming soon.

Interesting.. I bought my 2022 during covid and got 0% interest for 3 years and $1K of accessories (worth about $300) and was pretty happy, but I did pay MSRP at the time and it does seem like the days of "negotiating" are coming back. I just had to get insurance for the truck for an upcoming Baja trip and they'll only insure it for NADA pricing so I've definately seen about a 20% decline in value but I've had 2 years of use so I'm ok with that...

Not "coming back"...those days have been here since the late Spring early Summer. You can get amazing deals now as inventory is high and they must sell it.
