Thought it was on drives side of block.

 

its on the driver side block. if i remember right its just above the oil filter.

 

it is on the lbz. mine went out a while back. if noone posts a pic by the time I finish my beer I'll go take one.

On your truck its #40 in the pic added here attached to #41. There located towards the back on the LLY thru LMM blocks.

 

does anyone know what 40-41 is?

Oil temp sensor

 

i <3 u. thanks bud! Im confused... is that OEM? I have an extra wire. It is about 6" longer than the wires going to the oil sending unit. And i have a broken sensor from the machine shop.... So... confused on where it goes. The sensor has the same type of end as the coolant temp so oil temp would make sense, however i have an oil cooler off of an LB7 and im not seeing a hole for it, and i don't see one on my old oil cooler. so... help this noob out. what all sensors are on the driver side of the block?

 

Oil temp sensor is an autometer I added.

Oil psi sensor is 'above' it in it pic is stock.

Maybe post a pic of yours?
