What it looks like
Mock-up
Blue Loctite on FASS-to-frame connections
These are the fittings that come with the unit. 1/2" fuel line disconnect tool.
Template for new location drilling
Tools needed for drilling. Space requirements dictate some sort of 90° drill. Either an attachment or single purpose like mine works. I matched the 3/8" Grade 8 hardware for the new holes.
Obviously I stepped up to the 3/8" bit. Think it took 5 bits, broke multiple 1/16" trying to get pilot holes exactly right.
File it down nice and smooth once you're done.
New bolt connection configuration. I shoved a rubber washer between the frame bracket & vertical hanger.
Application mock-up
Bracket that needs to be modified.
CHOP THAT HOE (in the words of someone else I know)
Just for reference, the bottom line (with the file touching it) is the one that you are tapping into. After talking to a few other guys on here, seems like nobody knows what the hell the other line is for, and of course, crappy directions don't specify (there isn't even a picture of this in the FASS manual I got).
Peckerhead that sniffed my ass the whole time I was under the truck
