Thought I'd start a new thread on this since it's a bit different topic than my last one.
With another 3 months on my engine and powertrain warranties, I was considering adding a lift pump to my 2015. I just had a faulty filter head replaced and was thankful it wasn't a cp4 failure. Some of the threads I've read have implied a lift pump will aid in the longevity of the factory pump. I'm curious if this is a widely accepted modification for that purpose.
I am aware the CP4 failure isn't terribly common but I'm hoping to keep this truck another 3-4 years to get my kids out of college. If the lift pump does help with longevity it would at least give me peace of mind.
