Agreed hiss is annoying except for when it's running on elevated idle.
Is it elevated idle or the actual high idle that doesn't work with the tunes? I noticed that I was never able to get the elevated idle to work even when turned on in the DIC.

On a side note, since I installed the tunes (Dec 2016) I have been getting a p003a code. Changed vps and solenoid, no change, took to a diesel shop and they verified that it is a false code for some reason and suggested it was an error or glitch somewhere in the tuning. Everything works as it should. I did notice that when the vanes would sweep it would only do a partial % sweep (say 1-50 or 30-80%). Emailed a couple times with limited luck. Never got around to messing with it since it wasn't something to really worry about, just clear code with the edge insight. Last week truck started acting funny. Vanes close up about 10-20% more than usual and then won't open up past about 60% when accelerating. But if I let off the gas they go back down to normal. Vanes are still fully operational they just don't want to open up after boost builds (which is a few psi more than normal since they don't open up). I see that calling gets a better chance of a response so hopefully I can call soon. I'll try and remember to take some data logs as well.

If any of y'all have had something similar happen or any suggestions I'd appreciate any help in the mean time.

Calling doesn't help

I've had Motorops tuning now for 1 year without a single code or issue besides the EGR opening a few times under boost. Other than that, all good.

Well, if you need 'em for anything, they blow you off. Just sayin. I've deleted them and moved on.

Hope I don't need them except for a tire size cali ration change in the future when I change the wheels and tires out.

Good luck with that. Maybe they'll have better customer support in the future.

lml emergency

I hvae a 2014 lml andI purchased a 5 tune auto cal and removed the factory exhaust from my truck I attempted to program the truck with the auto cal and received a $0540 error. I followed the update instrutions on the user manual i received but never got an email containing any tunes. I thought the tunes were in the auto cal or i would not have torn my truck apart on a friday night. I am now without my truck until the issue is resolved any help I can get will be very appreciated.

Ayarberry Did you run “program full” before running “program cal”?

Usually programming the TCM with trans tunes you use PROGRAM CAL.
ECM power tunes you use PROGRAM FULL.

This is the way DmaxTuner & ATP works and since MOTOROPS is kinda a parent company to DmaxTuner, I’m sure this works the same way.

Tats the way mine works anyway.

ayarberry,
I assume you have MOTOROPS tuning, you can email them but first thing Monday morning I’d be CALLING them on the phone, if you haven’t figured this out.

Have you checked your email for your tunes, maybe the junk file?
Tats the way all 3 usually sends tunes.
They also will send/mail you the AutoCal loaded with tunes so you can plug & play.

ayarberry was this resolved? You need to FULL flash (program full) the stock LML file first, then CAL FLASH (program cal) the numbered tune you wish to run. This will get you back up and going. Please give me a call if you need help or have any questions. 866-867-1593 ext 403.

Having had kory's tunes on my LBZ and it eating GT's and SS's like no tomorrow, when it came time to tune my LML i was going to go with him till i read about his lack of customer service. changed it up and what a mistake that was. Danhyl, Chris. etc are worthless. If i had $1000 to change tuning i would in a heartbeat. AVOID Motorops at all costs. Their street/econ tune sucks. My LBZ on heavy tow would leave this truck in the dust. Any good deals on a moonshine autocal non SOTF?

is there any difference between MotorOps tunes for a 2015 chevy 2500hd and Motorops tunes for a 3500hd

Guys any help is appreciated, just had exhaust, lift pump and motor ops SOTF installed and the tune feels slower than the canned edge tuner I used before the exhaust. Anyone else have this issue/ what could the problem be. Thanks

Since most of the discussion in this thread is related to tuning that allows weight loss surgery, I'm going to close it down.

For tuning questions that involve weight loss, please reach out to your tuner.
